Introduction
We offer several workshops on STEM+C activities. Students at EdUHK join these workshops to learn and experience how to organise STEM+C activities for primary school students. No programming experience is needed.

Junior Unit 1
Catching Mouse & Fruits Party (Makey Makey + Scratch)
Start teaching STEM with Makey Makey and Scratch! This unit is perfect for junior primary beginners to learn coding and STEM. Basic concepts, practices and perspectives of our STEM + Computing framework will be introduced.
Junior Unit 2
Festival Greetings & Birth of a Chick (micro:bit + Scratch)
Launch your STEM innovation with micro:bit* and Scratch! This unit is perfect for teaching junior primary students at the beginner’s level. Basic concepts, practices and perspectives of our STEM + Computing framework will be introduced.
Junior Unit 3
Sports Expert & Mini Cable Car (micro:bit v2 + MakeCode)
Teach STEM with the latest micro:bit version 2 and MakeCode! This unit is perfect for junior primary beginners to learn STEM and start coding. By creating a sound-controlled sportsman system, and a gesture-controlled cable car system with recycled materials, students will learn basic concepts, practices and perspectives of our STEM + Computing framework.
Senior Unit 1
Smart Trash Can (M5StickC PLUS + UIFlow)
An automatic Smart Trash Can could be a solution to the hygienic problems caused by traditional trash cans. This workshop will give you the idea of STEM+C practices, concepts and perspectives. Students will be able to play with, analyze, code, craft and build Smart Trash Can system with M5StickC, UIFlow and daily life materials.
Senior Unit 2
IoT Smart Pet Feeder (M5StickC PLUS + UIFlow)
Increasing number of electrical appliances were built with remote controlling and monitoring functions, while IoT Smart Pet Feeder is a common example. This workshop will give you the idea of STEM+C practices, concepts and perspectives, which includes initial concepts of Internet of Things (IoT). Students will be able to play with, analyze, code, craft and build IoT Smart Pet Feeder system with M5StickC, UIFlow and simple materials.
Senior Unit 3
Artificial Intelligent (AI) has great potential in improving future living, for example, by applying on an Elevator which carries school bags. This workshop will give you the idea of STEM+C practices, concepts and perspectives, which includes initial concepts of AI and Machine Learning. Students will be able to play with, analyze, code, craft and build AI Elevator system with HaloCode, mBlock5 and simple materials.
